Masochistic Much?
July 27, 2005I fell asleep majorly early last night– before the first Gilmore Girls was even over, and I didn’t wake up until around 5 this morning. It was raining, so I turned on the news to check traffic, and sure enough, there were already slow downs– AT 5 AM! What the heck?! I was wide awake, so I got up and showered and got ready for work, and left the apartment at 6. It was pouring by then, but thankfully there were no major traffic issues. I arrived at work between 6:30 and 6:40, and scared one of the owners half to death coming off of the elevator. Apparently he’s not used to having folks here as early as he is! HA!
I immediately started working on some items that I had pending, and when I’d finished them all by 8 this morning, I was preparing myself for another day of doing nothing and making money for it– which sounds great, unless you’re weird like me and NEED to keep busy to keep from going insane. I visited with Pam, a senior coworker who promised to train me on some new stuff today, since she understood the torture of boredom. Interestingly enough, I never really got to training… my inbox and task list never stopped filling up today! IT WAS AWESOME!
So yeah, even though it started way early, I had a good, full day today, and that’s a good thing!
