Goodbye Blogathon!

July 30, 2006

It’s over.

Feeling slightly violated that some stranger commented on my toes on Flickr, and just overall relief that the last twenty-four hours have come to a close, I just want to say thanks.

Seriously, my efforts have been blessed.  We’ve raised over $2200 for African Leadership, and as I’ve said so many times, I can’t think of another organization that deserves it more.  Absolutely an incredible group of folks.  So thanks so much for all of your comments, encouragements, goofiness, and prayer.  It has not gone unnoticed.

If you pledged money, you’ll be receiving an email soon telling you what to do.  If you won a CD, I’ll be contacting you soon for your mailing address. :)   I probably won’t be blogging for a few days.  I’m a bit burned out, to say the least.

This is Stephanie Schnicklefritz, signing off.

#47

July 30, 2006

I am proceeding to tidy up around here right now.  Doing dishes, picking up after myself, etc.  And then, THEN, friends, I will take yet another shower and a nap.

Recommendation for next year: limit the junk food.  My tummy hasn’t felt so good.  I think I ate too much crap.

Two Final Posts

July 30, 2006

Yup, that’s right! This and one final post are all that remains between me and sweet sleep.  :)

Just checked the weather for San Antonio next week.  MAN!  It’s going to be cooler there than here.  Maybe Al Gore was right!

Blood:Water

July 30, 2006

In these final hours of the ‘thon, I would like to strongly encourage y’all to jump on over to Geof’s blog and pledge just a few more dollars to Blood:Water Mission, and organization not unlike African Leadership.  B:W is an organization close to my heart, and to whom I give money regularly.  It is one whose mission I feel strongly about.  Check it out!

A Post of Substance

July 30, 2006

Well, this is late, but one of the contest questions was, “What do you like most about your life?”  Well, my life is rarely ever boring.  The hum-drum routine of things rarely stay  that way for long.  God obviously knows me and knows my personality so much that for better (althought sometimes it seems like worse) He keeps things interesting.

MAN

July 30, 2006

Does the Girls Gone Wild infomercial stay on all night.  Seems like I saw this very same thing while flipping channels at 9.  Same disgusting crap.

MUSH I TELL YOU!

July 30, 2006

My brain feels like mush!  Did I mention how much I love sleep?

It’s official.

July 30, 2006

My blog has gone mad.  It’s calling everyone spam.  Grr…

Real Sex

July 30, 2006

So I’m reading Real Sex by Lauren Winner.  It really is a great book.  I’d love to recommend it to anyone looking for a great book about sex, culture and God.

Ew.

I didn’t know there were even MORE Star Trek hybrds on so late.  I’m disturbed.

I’m still here, but barely.
